Laredo Broncos
 
For sport enthusiasts looking to catch a professional basebal game, the Laredo Broncos will be starting up their fifth season here in beautiful Laredo providing the perfect outing for the entire family. It's a good way to relax and end the day. America's favorite pastime can be enjoyed as the sun is setting at Veteran's Field located at 2200 Santa Maria Avenue. And don't forget our 4th of July Firework Extravaganza, celebrating the Stars and Stripes has become an annual event providing great fun for the whole family. Single game tickets can be purchased at the Laredo Broncos box office. Don't worry about getting a bad seat. Out of the 3,200 seats in Veterans Field, every seat is a good seat. Veterans Field has free parking available. Bring out the family for hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts and nachos all that can be purchased at the concession stand. Laredo Community College Palominos
 
Catch the Palomino fever at Laredo Community College!
 
As a longstanding member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIV Athletic Conference and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, the LCC Palominos participate in one of the nation's most competitive intercollegiate sport conferences.
 
NJCAA sports offered at LCC include men's baseball,  women's volleyball and men's and women's tennis at the Division 1 level. The newest addition to the LCC Palomino Athletics Program is women's fast-pitch softball at the Division 3 level. LCC also offers an exciting and highly competitive intramural sports program for the general LCC student population.
 
The talented Palomino teams are frequently commended for exhibiting a high caliber of play and sportsmanship.
 
In 2005, during the City of Laredo's 250th anniversary, the LCC Palomino men's tennis team became the first local sports team to capture the Gateway City's first national sports title. The Palominos have since become internationally renowned as the five-time Natioanl Champion Junior College Men's Tennis Team (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009)!
 
LCC's historic Fort McIntosh Campus is home to the Palomino athletics promgrams on West End Washington Street. Home games are played at the Maravillo Gymnasium (volleyball) and the Sports and Recreation Center (baseball, softball and tennis).

Laredo Heat

 
Want to see top level soccer when visiting Laredo? Then come out to the Texas A&M International Soccer Complex to check out the United Soccer Leagues (USL) Premier Development League (PDL) Laredo Heat Soccer Club. The Heat plays in the PDL's Southern Conference Mid-South Division versus teams from El Paso, Midland, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and the Rio Grande Valley. The Laredo Heat played in the  USL PDL Championship Game for three straight years (2006, 2007 and 2008), winning the championship title in 2007. General admission tickets are only $5.00 for adults and children 12 years and younger are admitted free of charge. Texas A&M International University
 
Texas A&M International University Athletics competes as a NCAA Division II member of the Heartland Conference. The Dustdevils program sponsors 11 sports: baseball, softball, volleyball and men's and women's basketball, cross-country, golf and soccer.
 
All TAMIU Athletic teams play home contests at on-campus facilities. The TAMIU Soccer Complex has lighting and bleacher seating and is considered one of the finest small college facilities in the region. Bleachers were installed at the Jorge Haynes Baseball Field in the Spring of 2010 and the plans are inplace to add bleachers for softball. All three outdorro facilities have state-of-the-art scoreboards.
 
Volleyball and basketball compete at the Kinesiology and Convocation Building (KCB) on campus. The KCB has a seating capacity of over 1,000 when full, providing a tremendous home court advantage for the Dustdevils.
