Laredo, TX. - July 8, 2010. Emergency Disaster Declaration for Webb County.
Today, City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas and Webb County Judge Danny Valdez signed a State of Disaster declaration for Laredo, Texas, Webb County, because of “imminent threat of widespread or severe damage, injury or loss of life or property resulting from the ongoing flooding caused by recent and continuing drainage into the Rio Grande. . . .”
The declaration makes the City of Laredo and Webb County eligible for state and/or federal funds.
