DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Mexico’s Independence from Spain with dance! The Fiestas Patrias Festival 2026 will be held on Saturday, September 12 from 7:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at the Pan American Arts Complex (3301 San Bernardo) and features dancers of the Gabriela Mendoza-García Ballet Folklórico. The dancing begins at 8:00 p.m. with members of the Gabriela Mendoza-Garcia Ballet Folklorico performing the traditional dances of Mexico. Watch children and adults perform dances from the states of Veracruz, Sinaloa, Tamualipas and more.\nThe evening will continue with a grito contest with prizes awarded, Mexican themed costume contest, and musical entertainment. Vendors will be on hand to sell their one-of-a-kind items. Plus, partake in the delicious selections of food and drink for sale by one of the many food trucks located at the Pan American Courts Arts Complex.\nThis event is Sponsored by the Laredo Cultural District, Avenida San Bernardo, Pan American Courts Art Complex, and the Gabriela Mendoza-García Ballet Folklórico.\n
