The Living Mural is a site-specific design for the city of Laredo that celebrates the city’s rich culture, history, and geographic characteristics, as well as the role of great women who contributed to the advancement of its society in diverse areas such as education, journalism, and politics.
The Living Mural is also a collaboration between a painter, Josias Figueirido (@josiasfigueirido ), and a ceramicist, Emily Bayless (@emilynbayless ), who together with their students from TAMIU, and using specialized skills in their respective areas, designed and installed the mural/mosaic at The Border Heritage Museum. . . . @neaarts
