Are you ready to run through the streets of Laredo? The City of Laredo and the Parks and Recreation Department are thrilled to invite you to the 2nd Annual Laredo Marathon on November 17, 2024! After the huge success of last year’s debut event, which saw 150 enthusiastic runners hit the pavement, they are gearing up for an even bigger turnout this year.
Certified by the United States Track & Field (USATF) and serving as a Boston Marathon Qualifier, this 26.2-mile course starts at Uni-Trade Stadium and winds its way through the heart of the city, finishing at the Outlet Shoppes at Laredo. With a mix of scenic views and challenging terrain, this marathon is an experience you won't want to miss.
Last year's marathon was nothing short of epic, with Austin's Michael Morris taking the overall male title and Tenley Ortiz from Giddings, Texas, clinching the overall female win. Both walked away with a cool $2,500 in prize money. Not only that, but seven participants from last year’s race earned their spot in the prestigious 2025 Boston Marathon—a testament to the competitive spirit of our event.
