Latte's in Laredo

I’m not much of a coffee drinker, in part because I think I just don’t know what or how to place an order. Venti mocha-chocolata yaya, I have no idea what any of the coffee lingo means. I’ll walk into a coffee bar and hear orders being hammered out with phrases such as “one pump, no foam, no whip,” all of that just seems foreign to me. Panic sets in as it’s my turn to approach the counter and I go with my old faithful, Cold Brew extra ice. I ain’t gonna fix what’s not broken.

In order not to offend the coffee connoisseurs out there, I’m going to stick with a listing of coffee shops you can find around Laredo. Some familiar, some new ventures, wherever you choose, you can’t go wrong. In alpha order:

Aroma De Cafe - This cute little coffee truck is currently at 3502 E. Del Mar Blvd. Make sure to follow them on Facebook for seasonal menu offerings. In a hurry, download the Toast App and place your order ahead of time.

Place an order to-go, take a seat inside, or opt to enjoy a nice breeze in the garden. This downtown coffee shop offers breakfast and lunch sandwiches to fuel you up.

This groovy little joint located along the Bob Bullock Loop is perfectly situated to be your final stop as you finish a morning run along the loop.

These kids have moved out of their coffee truck and are now located inside the food hall at Golondrina Food Park in North Laredo.
