With over 18 years of experience in the tourism industry, Joel brings extensive knowledge and passion for promoting Laredo as a premier convention and sports destination. He is dedicated to helping planners create successful events while showcasing the city’s unique offerings, venues, and hospitality.
When he’s not assisting event organizers, Joel enjoys traveling, spending quality time with his family, and cheering on his favorite teams—he’s a devoted Dallas Cowboys and UT Longhorns fan.

A proud 2019 graduate of Texas A&M University, where she developed a passion for event planning and photography. With a keen eye for detail and a creative flair, she brings energy, organization, and fresh ideas to every project, helping planners create memorable events in Laredo.
A dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan, Sofia also enjoys staying active with Pilates and capturing life’s special moments through her photography. Her combination of event expertise, creativity, and enthusiasm makes her an invaluable member of the LCVB team.

As a passionate sports enthusiast, Fidel is dedicated to bringing sporting events to Laredo and supporting the growth of the community through athletics. He works closely with event planners to ensure every sporting event is seamless, well-organized, and memorable for participants and attendees alike.
When he’s not coordinating events, Fidel enjoys connecting with local partners, attending games, and exploring ways to showcase Laredo as a top destination for sports and recreation. Event planners or organizers with questions about hosting sports events in the area are encouraged to reach out to him directly.
